Is modern wood burning the future of a low carbon economy?

Modern Eco Design wood burners are clean burning and incredibly efficient compared with open fires and smokey old stoves. The Glass stays clean and the fire bricks too. They are lovely to just stare at and great for our mental health.There is very little ash and what is left can be left in the stove to re-burn or used as a plant nutrient, helping to grow more Biomass, just to prove nature is a wonderful thing.

Many people can provide their own fuel and provided the wood pile is properly managed this is a source of almost free energy. If we want a low carbon economy, wood burning stoves should be part of the mix, making practical choice for the balance between low carbon and renewable energy. If we want to keep this planet Blue we need to burn Green.
