Yes.

Wood Burners are not being banned.

There is no retrospective legislation to take away your old wood burner.

Eventually logs will need to be 20% moisture content or less.

Burning dry wood is more efficient , and gives more heat.

Coal will, over time be phased out.

New wood burners have been re-designed to burn cleanly and give more heat for using less logs, as part of a European wide environmental initiative called Eco Design 2022 covering all domestic appliances, of this part 20 or Lot 20 as they call it governs the use of solid fuel appliances.

Most of the Stove makers have already made their stoves pass the test on emissions.

Most new wood burners are over 80% efficient.

Open fires are only 20% efficient,

Modern wood burners are very clean, burn beautifully, and give more heat for fewer logs than older models.

Wood as a fuel in the form of fire wood is still a renewable biomass solid fuel, unlike gas or oil it actually does grow on trees.
