The Fire Engine, is a Bideford based stove shop. We stock Wood Burning Stoves, Multi-Fuel Stoves, Wood Fired Ovens otherwise known as Pizza Ovens and Solid fuels. We sell traditional and contemporary stoves. Fuel wise there is a range of solid fuels designed to suit different solid fuel heating requirements. We stock Heat Logs, Wood Briquettes and Blazers Fuel Logs, Firewood and Kiln Dried Logs from Certainly Wood as well as Smokeless coal in the form of Homefire Ovals.
The Stoves we supply are fitted by a HETAS registered engineer, so your new stove will be installed safe and sound and fully compliant with current regulations.
The Fire Engine is based in unit 7, at Daddon Moor Business Park. This is on the Clovelly Road Industrial Estate, Bideford,North Devon. EX39 3HN. Near the Atlantic Village outlet shopping mall. A new Aldi and the obligatory Lidl as well as an Asda store are close by. The area has further developed with Atlantic Park, boasting a drive thru McDonalds', Starbucks for coffee lovers and a premier Inn.
The photo shows Bideford's historic bridge illuminated on a crisp cold night during a high tide.The Bridge spans the river Torridge reputedly over the original crossing point from which the town takes its name by-the-ford. The arches are of differing spans supposedly because local merchants financed each arch and the richer the merchant the wider the arch. I suspect it might have had something more to do with where the bridge engineers could find the bed rock for the foundations. Bideford is an historic market town where farmers gathered to sell their produce at the twice weekly Pannier market, so called because their wares were transported in baskets or panniers carried by horses.
